The Old Carthouse,Aysgarth

  The Old Carthouse offers comfortable self catering accommodation for 2 people.Converted in 2007 the cottage is family owned and managed to a high standard,being clean,warm and cosy.

We are situated in the heart of Wensleydale,N.Yorks with extensive views over the River Ure and the hills.

This is an excellent base for walking,touring or simply relaxing.You are welcome to make use of the provided maps and guide books to make your holiday perfect.

There is a network of footpaths direct from the cottage or venture further afield to the other Dales;or choose Harrogate,York or the Lake District.Even the Scottish Border and East Coast are within a day trip.

The cottage is deceptively spacious,downstairs having the kitchen and living area and bathroom with over/bath shower.Upstairs the bedroom has plenty of storage and a double bed-a cot/bed or campbed can be provided.

The kitchen is well equipped with kettle,fridge,cooker,toaster,microwave,iron/board;there is also a hairdrier and a torch(just in case or for evening dog walks!)

Books,games,maps and DVD's are provided for you to borrow together with Digital  T.V. and CD Radio.

Heating ,hot water,towels and bed linen are all included in the price.

One dog(2 by arrangement) is welcome at no extra cost

Short breaks of 2-5 nights are available from October to April.

Saturday change/over for weekly holidays.

A £50 deposit will secure a booking .Please ring or email to check current prices and availability.
